Proclaiming God’s Love in the Morning and His Faithfulness at Night
Hello friends!
This is the last of my 4 note series about staffing Survival NE, 2011.
Theme Verse During Survival Week
During my week at SURVIVAL NH, so much depended on trusting God and His faithfulness each day. Through out the week, various challenges presented themselves that I felt uncomfortable with, or incapable of completing; (such as the task I mentioned in “Note #1: Confidence & Trust in God/His Strength Displayed in My Weakness”)
The Bible passage that God used to help me through that week was Psalm 92, particularly verses 1 and 2 which say,
“1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night…”

Verse two is what I was able to do every.single.day. Many of those mornings, before the day began, I was tempted to anxiously groan to myself, “Aaah, Igotta do this and that and I don’t know how I’m gonna do that, etc., etc…and staffing is too hard!” But instead, by God’s grace, I was able to take each task one at a time and begin the day by praying, “Okay, Lord, You know what my responsibilities are for today, and Your word says that we are co-laborers! I don’t have to worry about taking on these daunting tasks alone because You are right here with me, and You out stretch your arms to help me! ” After praying along those lines each morning, by the end of the day, as I lay in bed, I was truly able to recount God’s faithfulness in not just helping me complete my tasks for that day, but going above and beyond what I had asked for. And THAT is the God we serve!
Thankful for Staffing Experience
All this being said, I am very very very thankful for having had the opportunity to staff SURVIVAL NH 2011. My faith and confidence in God are significantly deepened as a result. I pray that God will continue to use the staffers, students, and I to further His kingdom as we “motivate, teach, and disciple students to be effective team members on the adventure of following Jesus.” (Survival’s mission)
Closing Words
And I pray the same for all of you who are reading this!
Thank you so much for wanting to hear about SURVIVAL and how God is using it to affect my life! It really helps when I can write this all down and talk to people about it.
Hopefully God has used something I’ve shared to speak to you! As I think back over God’s faithfulness, the staff team, and the students, what verse has God shown me?:
Ephesians 3:20-21
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”
Amen!!!
